Well, you just never know what tomorrow will bring…

Anybody that has know me long enough has seen the car I drive. That would be a lovely 1987 Chevy Celebrity Angela & I refer to as “Bertha”, mainly because its a cranky old bitch. It is gray in the parts that still have paint (which isn’t much of it), the driver’s side door is stuck shut and there are a handful of mechanical problems with it. Overall, a car on its last legs and something I’ve needed to replace before it finally dies on us.

I don’t think Bertha is going to be a problem for much longer.

Larry, one of the owners of the company I work for, had brought in a 1995 Ford Contour to work and parked it (to the far left in the picture). We’d later found out it was a car he’d owned that had been sitting somewhere for 6 months collecting dust. He asked us to take a look at it, see what kind of mechanical shape it was in and let him know how much it would sell for. We did that yesterday and gave him the info.

He asked me to sell it for him this morning. He said that any money that I get for it over $500 is mine.

This is a $2,000-2,500 car.

Can you say, bye bye Bertha? I’m still in shock.
