Off to Drink

So it turned out to be the timing belt tensioner on the Contour. It sounds like there is a pin that holds the works together and the little bugger got sheared off. Once that went, the timing belt became loose and shredded. The good news is that the engine doesn’t seem to be damaged. The bad news however is that it cost $675 to fix the damn thing. The last bit of good news is that the final cost was a hair less than their estimate. How often does THAT happen?

The car is picked up from the shop and our home refinance is now complete. We will be drinking our way through Little 5 Points once Caroline arrives.
