Around Friday Night

It’s been a long week. Angela has been sick, the weather has been crazy and work has been a real pain in the ass. We’re both tired from having Emily over last night and it has been a quiet night in.

Bleh, time for bed.

Tuesday Dinner

Tuesday Dinner

Angela is still feeling pretty poopy, so I made dinner her tonight. She took care of the sauce, but it all ended up as a great meal for tonight.

80th Annual Academy Awards

Angela is feeling sick today, so we’re on the couch eating pizza and watching the Awards. Here are some random thoughts you don’t care about:

  • Billy Crystal was the best host for the Awards. His understated humor brings much more to the show than Jon Stewart.
  • The strangest thing I’ve ever seen at the Awards was the song, “It’s hard out there for a pimp” being performed on stage.
  • Diablo Cody just won the Award for Juno. Damn, she is VERY hot, I wonder if she would have worn that revealing dress if she knew she would be carrying an Oscar home? Not that we mind that she did.
  • Looks like we need to see No Country for Old Men, Lord knows it won enough Awards.
  • They did a good job of keeping the jackassery down to a dull roar for this year’s awards. Just find a better host and maybe start it earlier so it doesn’t end at midnight!

Dryer Crud

Dryer Crud

Owning a home means you do jobs you would never think of. This afternoon I had to fix the dryer vent and ended up cleaning out all manner of crud from the dryer.

Friday Night Cooking

Emily was over last night and there was much smoking, drinking and talk about everything. I later to went off to work on comics and finished up a little after 1 o’clock. Today’s comic was finished and Monday’s is all ready to go.

Today was the second day of cold, rainy weather. It’s good to get the water but I’m really looking forward to Spring. Tonight, I’ve stopped off at the Dekalb Farmer’s Market to pick up the stuff for making chili. This dismal weather is perfect for some good, solid food.
