Wednesday Bits

I upgraded the WordPress install for this website yesterday to version 2.5. It’s causing some problems with the Embedded Gallery plugin and the LiveJournal Crossposting plugin won’t even load. The first isn’t anything major for me, the second wasn’t working recently to begin with. Ironically, it worked for one post last week, the one I made for our wedding anniversary. Go figure.

Yesterday afternoon I hosed all the yellow pine pollen off my truck at work. 20 minutes later, it was coated again. I don’t know what the count is, but that’s a lot of damn pollen in the air.

Speaking of vehicles, we took the Civic in for service yesterday morning. Angela was making a little trip today, so we though it would be a good time to check it out. They did the 120k service and she says Rhonda Honda is running better than ever. It cost a chunk of change (not as much as the Ranger, ouch), but it was worth it.

We have to take the Ranger back in for a bit of a transmission whine tomorrow or Friday. We’re finally going up to Knoxville this weekend and it would be good to check that out before getting out in the middle of nowhere. As the saying goes, and ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.

On the way home today, I took a truckload of cardboard to recycling, then hurried to mow the front lawn before the sun went down. Since it’s going to rain this Friday, I wanted to get it cut before it grew another foot (that is, the bits that are still alive). I need to do the spring tune up on the mower too. It ran so rough that it reminded me of a Gremlin a buddy drove back in high school…just before the engine burst into flames.

That’s all for now. Tired. Off to bed.
