Back from Friday

Yee hah, what a day! It’s in the wee hours and we’re back at the hotel. It’s time to get a couple thoughts down before I collapse:

• The Terry Moore panel rocked. It was good to get an update on what he’s doing and hear his thoughts on breaking into comics. His advice of, “Once you’re to a certain point, get your ass out there and develop in public.” really resonated with me.
• The Stargate panel was great, Richard Dean Anderson ain’t rite.
• There we’re several other panels, but I’m running out of steam.
• I saw Stan Lee in the lobby of a local hotel at 1:30 this morning. I was about six feet away from him and he was a lot more energetic than me. I decided that giving him the peace and quiet he deserved at that time of the night was more important than going fanboy on him.
• Right after he was gone, a six foot cross-dresser came sauntering through with their girlfriend. She had to be even taller with the that wig on. Only in San Diego could these two people be seen in such close proximity.
• Bleh, time for bed.
