Saturday:

  • I mowed the lawn. It wasn’t too hot, but the humidity was so bad that I sweated off all the sunblock and got sunburned.
  • That same day, We did a tech gig and helped some people out. More money for the California trip. :-)
  • After that, we went to a Columbian place for dinner. We had liver with onions and watched strange dance contests on the huge projector screen TV.


Sunday:

  • Angela worked on the latest issue of Oracle and I did house work. I spent 4 hours under the house cleaning up debris and fixing the vapor barrier. That means laying large sheets of plastic in stuffy, cramped areas, a very dirty job.
  • Angela and I chased rainbows. After the storms came though, we went outside to get pictures of the deep yellow sky. That’s when we noticed the rainbows above the house and ran around the neighborhood like excited dorks getting pictures.
  • I worked with Angela on ThinkWeasel comics. She was great help with comic ideas and dialog details. I love working with her.

Today:

  • One of my niece’s called because her laptop was running slowly. After doing some phone support, we told her to send it down to us for repair. If she had let it go any longer, the hard drive was going to fail and she would have lost everything.
  • Angela feels like crap. The eye thing is back, and a handful of other physical things are making her VERY frustrated. I made dinner for her by ordering Chinese tonight.
  • Angela put out the fliers and I crawled around our crawlspace again and looked in neighbors’ yards. It’s day 6 since Bernie disappeared, I’m trying not to cry yet. The tension of waiting for a resolution on her is been building in me for days, I know I’ll break down at some point. Angela isn’t too far behind me.
  • The final outdoor sign for Taqueria El Vecino was sent to the printer today. There are pictures from the opening that I will post at some point. We did turned in the billing for the project up until this point. That was probably the screaming you heard sometime this afternoon. ;-)
  • I’ve been so busy lately that I haven’t even thought much about the 4th of July. I’ve thought so little about it, that I thought it fell on Monday (my usual day off) for some reason. Angela had to remind me that I had a 4 day weekend coming up because it’s on Friday.
  • I know I’ve promised sketches to friends that have been kind enough to participate in ThinkWeasel. I haven’t forgotten you, I will be in touch.
