EXTREME Lists

July 4th, 2008 | by Nick |

Angela says I’m talking lists to an extreme, so no more bullet points. I’m still gonna do stuff in short bursts until I’m tired of it. The writing style suits the random bits of life that keep buzzing by.

Yesterday:

A lot of our friends talk about how great a relationship Angela and I have. We really appreciate it, but even we fight sometimes. Most of the time, it happens when one or both of us is tired/stressed/cranky. Usually it’s about small bullshit, other times it’s about recurring stuff that isn’t resolved yet.

If you don’t have some difference of opinion at some point, there is something wrong. It either means someone has no opinions, or just doesn’t care. Neither of those lead to a good relationship.

If you don’t get ticked off at your significant other at some point, something is wrong. This person should inspire strong emotion from you and sometimes it will be negative.

I went to lunch at the Galaxy Diner up on Chamblee-Tucker. I was sitting outside when two C-130 cargo planes flew overhead, it must be in the flight pattern for the local base. Seeing those lumbering prop-jobs fly at a relatively low altitude is pretty impressive.

Today:

I saw a UPS truck with flames painted on it when I was heading out to buy computer parts. Apparently, they’ve been around for at least 3 years, but this is the first I’ve seen of them. It’s something to do with their involvement with NASCAR.

MicroCenter has some good deals on computer part, but their Apple section sucks out loud. They have the rainbow Apple logo from 11 years ago in all the signs for one. Second, they had “Imac” instead of “iMac” on the signs proudly displaying said computers. Third, they are selling 7 year old software for the original retail price. Call me crazy, but I don’t think anybody is gonna pay $450 for a copy of PageMaker. Last, and best, they are using the Apple section to store DELL COMPUTERS in. That, as they say down here, just ain’t rite.

Bernie is still missing. I had a hell of a time concentrating at work because of the growing anxiety. I know, she’s just a cat, but we’ve had for 8 years. If you don’t form SOME kind of bond with an animal in that period of time, something is wrong with you.

Kate was over tonight. I’m glad she took the chance to hang out. She is a smart, talented woman with some good ideas. I look forward to seeing what she does in the future. There was an article about her on Vogue.com talking about the t-shirt design contest she won, go take a look.

Right Now:

I know there were other snippets to put down, but I can’t think of them. I’m tired from work, stress and emotion, it’s time for bed.

What I *said* was that you STOLE the lists from me and then ran wild with them, dear. ;-)
