New Comic, More Stuff

It’s a rainy day in Atlanta. The day was long, the commute even longer. I finally finished my tasks for the day and now I’m home. Angela cooked a great meal and now we’re watching some TV before Battlestar comes on. The new comic is up, so go take a look!

Weathered Weasel

Tuesday Bits

Here are the random thoughts to sum up the day:

  • I did some long needed cleaning at work. There are many more boxes and piles of computer stuff to go through, but I made some progress. Boxes have been emptied and more stuff is on the pile for electronics recycling.
  • Angela felt poorly tonight, so I tried to do what I could to take care of her (Aunt Flo can suck it, the wench). Wed wine was purchased and dinner acquired. I can suggest the lasagne over a the Dekalb Farmer’s Market.
  • Wil Wheaton, ace geek, linked to Think Weasel! because of some video footage I got at Phoenix Comicon. It was very cool of him and I appreciate the bump in people coming to the site.
  • Hopefully, some of them will come back to get a giggle or two. Wither way, I will continue to improve the comic and the website. After all, chance favors the prepared mind.
  • Barak Obama spoke on the economy tonight. I’ll make sure to read about it tomorrow so I can be properly frustrated by the situation.
  • I did some updating of the software running this site (NickMizgala.net) and ThinkWeasel.com. The auto update feature is still fracked up, I wish they would get that sorted out.

Hail Weasels Posted

Well, you can’t really predict that sort of thing. (based on actual events)

Hail Weasels

81st Academy Awards

The sink has been fixed, the toilet seat has been replaced and the dinner from last night has been eaten for a second time. Now, we’re wathcing the Oscars as I work on a weasel. Here are some random thoughts as we watch:

  • Hugh Jackman did an amazing job with the opening. He sings, he dances and he plays Wolverine…the nerd in me is in conflict, I need alcohol!
  • The Chinese dude wins for best thank you speech (for short animated film). Domo arigato, Mr. Roboto.
  • We’re making the list of movies we need to see that are up for nominations.
  • The musical number rocked it like it was 1929! Beyonce and Hugh Jackman were amazing.
  • Heath won, he deserved the award and he is missed. This reminds us to do your best and to create a legacy you would be proud of.
  • Most creative speech goes to the Man on Wire guys. I’ve never seen an Oscar balanced on someone’s chin.
  • Hello Academy, show your bias against super hero movies, BASTARDS! Iron Man or Batman should have won for effects!
  • We’re disappointed that Mickey Rourke didn’t win the Oscar. He has had a long road back from Hell, I’m glad he came back from the edge.
  • I would have rather seen Frost/Nixon win, even if it was along shot.

Saturday Dinner

Tonight I cooked dinner for Angela. It took a while and was one of the most ambitious dinners I’ve done yet. She said that it was amazing, so I think it turned out pretty well.

Now, it’s time to watch Battlestar Galactica and relax. It’s a good show and too bad that it’s ending soon. Still, it’s better to have good writing and end, than have crap and go on forever.
