Already? Wow.

It’s been 18 years since I attended my first DragonCon and it was an amazing experience. I truly felt, for the first time, that I was home with my nerdy people. Since then, I’ve gone every year since 1998. It was the biggest holiday for me, each year, for many years.

Now? I hate to admit it, but I’m a bit jaded. After so many times, the booze and the partying (and the drugs, not that I do that sort of thing *ahem* now) wear kinda thin. Maybe it doesn’t for others, but it does for me.

I’m sure we’ll still have some fun, it’s just not going to be the same as it once was. And that, my friends, can be a good thing.
