Busy Monday

I had no idea if the power was going to be back on when I came in today. Good thing for me, they had it fixed Sunday.

So the day started with having to finish up 3 print jobs at work. Right after that, I had to rebuild a Server that melted down. Traffic wasn’t too bad today, but the heat is still way too much for my liking. Like always, I look forward to Fall.

After all that crap at work today, I still managed to finish up a pretty complicated comic before 10 o’clock. Yay me, I’ll take it!

Quiet Day

I wasn’t feeling too well today, so I kept a pretty low profile. I got the stuff done with remote access at work and watched some TV. Time to get to sleep so I’m ready for work tomorrow.

Sunday Night

Went to go see Toy Story 3, put together the new grill, tested it out and had Rory & Stormy over for drinks and conversation.

It was a good day, I think I may pay for it tomorrow.

Sunday the Fourth

Another late night, it’s been a good one. I know we’re gonna hurt in the morning, but it’s been fun. We had fireworks, good friends and good conversation.

It’s been 2 years since our cat Bernie disappeared, I still miss that varmit.

Ninja Squirrels Appear!

Distant Thunder Tonight

Tired. I stayed up late last night to finish today’s comic and finally came to bed around 1 in the morning. It felt good to finally get it finished, but the lack of sleep made the day at work drag.

The thunder is rumbling in the distance… This hot and steamy weather makes for some intense isolated thunderstorms. Earlier today as I was getting ready to leave work, out of nowhere came this sudden low roar from outside. The rain had suddenly moved in and that was the sound of it coming down in buckets on the roof above. It left the streets flooded in that area, but I was able to drive out of it in just a couple miles. Before long, there wasn’t any indication that it ever rained at all as I got closer to home.

I used to love the rain. I remember years ago when I was working at Whirlpool on second shift, rain like this would come through. Sometimes after getting home, I would stand in the driveway and let the rain wash the dirt and sweat of the work day off of me.

I noticed the rain again now that I’m not as depressed and stressed as I once was. I may not stand in the driveway getting drenched as I once did, but at least I feel the rumble in the distance again.
