Back to Blogging

Twitter, Facebook and being busy have trashed my ability to update my own website. Well, I’m going to work on changing that. This is a start, stay tuned for more…

The West is the Best?

Sometimes I wonder what drove my ancestors on both sides of my family to come to this country. To leave what was familiar head into the great unknown that was their future… Is it the same feeling that calls me west?

If money was no object, I would move to San Francisco right now. Ever since visiting that beautiful city in 2008, it has called to me ever since. Hell, that state has whispered to me ever since I visited in 1989… but money IS an object, and I do what I can right now, as I always have.

A Personal Note

Many people may think this silly, since he died in 1980, but the older I get, the more I miss my dad. The closer I get to the age he died, the more I am saddened by the number of years he should have had ahead of him. I’ve had decades to get used to this, but sometimes I notice that bomb crater where he (and in the past 10 years, my mother) was supposed to be.

You don’t get over the people that are gone from you life, you just get used to the loss…and then you move on, because we have no choice but to move forward.

More Random Thoughts

I don’t give a damn what you like as long it brings you happiness and does not destroy you.

I’ve discovered my biggest challange to growth and success over the long term is myself.

Goodbye 2009

Twitter and Facebook has trashed my ability to post to my own site recently, bleh.

This year has had some good moments but it’s also been a bit of a tester. The good news is that we made it to the other in if this year in one piece and the promise of the new year is ahead of us. Tomorrow I will post some New Year’s resolutions, but for now I shall drink champagne.

Happy New Year all!
