There is a new comic up over at Think Weasel!, go take a look!

It seems every link on my front page keeps redirecting to my photo gallery. I’ll see what is going on with this mess after I do some yardwork. Sorry about the weirdness!
It’s Sunday morning and our backyard is like a damn Disney movie. Our horde of squirrels are busy inhaling seeds from beneath the bird feeders, chipmunks are frolicking around the edge of the yard and the wide variety of birds that call our yard home are taking their turns swooping in to snack at the feeders. Off in the distance, I can hear the cicadas making their strange, distinctive sound. Angela was even nice enough to bring me some coffee!
It’s a pretty nice way to start the day, I think it’s time now to head in and read the newspaper.
Insomnia has seemed to have kicked in, so I thought it would be a good time to write something. My tired mind is bouncing across a bunch of different possible subjects, so I’ll try to pick a couple and hopefully make some sense.
Summer is only a few days from officially being here and it is already as hot and muggy as the worst of August. I was hoping it would hold off for a little while longer, but it looks like that’s not going to happen. Adapting to this opressive heat feels harder than it was before, maybe I’m just getting tired of it after 20 years.
This past weekend was pretty busy. Saturday we checked out the Waffle House Museum and the Sci-Fi Summer Con. The museum is small but interesting and we even got to meet one of the founders of Waffle House. The Con was bigger than last year but still pretty small. I’m impressed in a way that the gamer room could smell like that after being set up for such a short period of time. Sunday we checked out the car exhibit at the High Museum. Though the cars weren’t always displayed in a way that gave us a good view, it was still great to see them. We planned to go to the Art-B-Que in Avondale Estates at some point that weekend, but the heat made the idea of an outdoor festival impossible.
I have pictures to post once I get around to doing it.
Twitter, Facebook and being busy have trashed my ability to update my own website. Well, I’m going to work on changing that. This is a start, stay tuned for more…
Sometimes I wonder what drove my ancestors on both sides of my family to come to this country. To leave what was familiar head into the great unknown that was their future… Is it the same feeling that calls me west?
If money was no object, I would move to San Francisco right now. Ever since visiting that beautiful city in 2008, it has called to me ever since. Hell, that state has whispered to me ever since I visited in 1989… but money IS an object, and I do what I can right now, as I always have.
