I’m not entirely sure as to why, but I’ve been a cranky bastard lately. I don’t know, maybe all the stress of the past couple months is finally getting the best of me. As much as I love the holidays, I’m glad they’re over. This season was one of the most stressfull in a while, everything felt rushed and behind schedule. Maybe it’s that, maybe it’s the insomnia, maybe it’s both. Whatever the reason, all I know is that I’m trying to figure out what I need to do exactly before Angela has to slap me up ‘side the head for a reboot.
Maybe it IS just everything. Last week was another pisser with trees falling and computers melting down…Anyway, the comic for Monday is up and over at ThinkWeasel, go take a look:

I’ve got the headphones on and I’m working on Wednesday’s strip. Maybe some quiet time listening to Traffic, Procol Harem and cartooning will help my mood.
The first day of the year was clear and cold and the next few days were warm, wet and foggy. After the last bit of cold and dry, we’re back on the warm and rainy part. The weather for the past couple months has been very odd, I guess I should pull out the Magic 8 Ball to see what comes next!

Now that the holidays are behind us, it’s time to get back to work. I’ve been working at my desk most of the day today sorting through bills, paperwork and working on Weasels. Here is the latest:

The Christmas stuff still needs to be put away, but I guess it will wait for another day.
A friend gave me the meme challenge, so here we go!
10 Things I love that start with the letter V (in no particular order):
1. Vodka
2. Vacation
3. Valentine’s Day (with my sweetie)
4. Video Games
5. Vegetables
6. Voluptious Women
7. Vortex Bar & Grill (my hangout)
8. Vasectomy (keeps away the big oops)
9. Vulcans (I am a Trek nerd)
10. Variety (it’s the spice of life and all that)
There were some female body parts that came to mind, but there is no need to be vulgar (another V word!).
Dragon*Con has come and gone and school is back in session. It’s cool enough right now that we can sit on the deck again (even though the air conditioning unit just turned on to cool off things inside). I have a beer sitting next to me from the kegerator and I can hear the marching band practicing at the Elementary school a couple blocks away. This all means that Fall is on the way and I look forward to it. We will be able to work on the yard without melting and there are many fun things coming up.
I look forward to it.
Friday night we had a night in with just the two of us. We wanted to get some quiet time in before the party on Saturday. We watched SCI-Fi Friday and made an amazing meal between the both of us. Angela has a great entry on the meal here. Afterwards, I was cleaning the kitchen when we noticed it was purple outside. Apparently tropical storm Fay was doing some interesting things to the sunset. I took the picture below just before it got too dark.
Yesterday was the “Bring Your Own Chops” party and it was a blast! Angela has a good bit on it here and some of the pictures can be found here.
Today, we’re tired from being up so late and sleeping so little, bleh. Time to get some rest…
