Yeah, it’s been a strange one.
There have been some good bits though. I have family visiting from California, it’s the first time I’ve actually had any of them come to visit in the 20 years I’ve been down here. We picked them up from the airport, brought them to their hotel and then took them out to the Porter for dinner. I am happy to say that they did their normal great job!
Time to get some sleep, tomorrow might get interesting.
I’m still winding down after a long week of hardcore geeking. Monday was good, I was able to catch up on comics before going to the Drink & Draw with Angela later that night. Tuesday, I must say, was a rough one. The storms kept us awake all night and the power was out once I got there.
That was when things got really interesting. I’ll save the chapter and verse on all of it, but basically I had to finally take care of some old Unix issues that have been outstanding for years now at work. It’s been a real pain in the ass, but progress was made.
I look forward to doing some non-technical stuff this weekend.
It’s been a good week. I’m finally adjusting to the time change and it’s hard not to be positive when the weather is this nice. Tonight was good, I made a great dinner, even if it took a while.
This weekend is going to be a busy one. Good thing it will be raining I guess, it will keep the focus on getting the office crap done. We’re scheduled to do taxes Monday and there are several other projects that need minding. I know I need to get to sleep, but I’m just not quite there yet.
Long day, watched some TV, had some wine. Time to get some sleep for tomorrow.

It was good being able to sleep in today. Spent the morning cleaning up the mess left in the office from all the computer work this weekend and next up is getting Christmas packages in the mail.
