I don’t plan to go to DragonCon, but some of my work will be there in the vintage arcade. Our business partner Brian needed some help with redoing a couple of his control panels. I’m pretty happy with the way they turned out.
He plans to replace the green trackball with a standard white one, once he gets them back.
Had to work on the Ranger today. Replaced a dodgy ignition and repaired the break-in damage on the driver’s door. Took me a while to figure out how to flatten the sheet metal, but using a bunch of washers on a tightened bolt did the trick. Also used gasket maker to seal the locks, no sense trading one problem for inner door rust.

This is a picture of my dad back in the late 50’s on leave with members of his unit in New York. He was able to come home and start a family before he was gone, but other people were not so lucky. Whatever your feelings on politics or about what is going on in the world, remember the people that have fallen in the defense of this country.

We finally made it Christmas Eve! Damn, this season has been a stressful one. It’s been real hard to get it together this time around. Well, we’re wrapping up the last bits now and getting ready for the trip up to Knoxville.

That about sums it up for now. Been working on finishing up presents and the like. By tomorrow it should all be done and (I think) I’ll be off for the rest of the week. We’ll see.
Crazy bit with the weather, huh? Saturday the high was in the 70’s and this morning it was 18 F when I drove to work! Apparently the weather is going to be near 70 by the end of the week too. Weird.
The birds have certainly been enjoying the weather. Here, have a picture of a Chickadee!
