Sunday. My God, what a nightmare…

Dani & Allen’s house has burnt down, they have lost everything…including their pets. We got the call about 11 o’clock this morning as Angela & I were finishing up breakfast and reading the newspaper… I will always remember the look on her face after she picked up the phone…

Saturday. Spent most of the day in the junkyard finding parts for my car. Its been awhile since crawling the yards last. Fortunately the weather help up and I have some parts to fix up the Celebrity. Of course, its always an adventure trying to pry out the parts out of these rusted hulks!

Friday. So it has been a long day and I’m glad it is at the end.

It started with a question and ended up as a shouting match with a coworker. I almost came to flattening his ass and it was all about small unimportant shit. Everybody at work at some point has argued with him. He has a way of getting a person so worked up that you can’t think straight and all you want to do is pound him. Instead of rightly beating said individual within an inch of his life, we usually just say "fuck it" and let him do what he wants. Everybody agrees it is crazy, but this isn’t my company and I don’t tell them how to run it. He has been going through a divorce the past few months and he has usually been useless at best. Because of the divorce, we have given him more slack than usual (He should feel lucky to have found a job where they still keep him after so many tech support fuck ups). But we’re fucking adults and shouldn’t have to deal with this fucking drama.

Thursday. Continuing to make progress with things. More later, too damn tired now.

Things are starting to calm down a bit (heh, I just screwed myself with THAT line!).

The car is still cranking like a champ, so its Viking funeral has been put off for now. There has been much trying to catch up on finances and other bullshit that had been put on hold by the Knoxville trip (and other crap going on).

I know there is other stuff to write about from today, too bad nothing is coming to mind. It is almost midnight and I am tired from all the stuff I’ve been working on.

Tuesday. Damn car died on me one too many times. I was dumb enough to turn the thing off at the gas station on the way to work and ended up stranded because of it. After much pain and suffering, I got it to work and replaced the starter after work. It went pretty well and many thanks are to be given to Todd (one of the guys at the office).

My day wasn’t over yet so I rushed home and scraped off the car crud. After that we helped Dani & Allen pick up some couches from our other friends, Andy & Melissa. This went surprisingly well and were finished up by 8:30. We managed to wrap up the evening with some burgers and watching 24.

I wont even get into the fucking mechanics.
