Just trying to make progress in my life, both within and in the World around me. Some days go well and there is a lot, other days feel like there is little at all. The biggest challenge is just to keep at it until things get better.

Well, I hope Martin Luther King Junior would be encouraged by a black man being sworn in as president on a day dedicated to his name.

I wish Barack Obama luck. Whatever you can say about any president, I bet they all agree that a second term isn’t any easier than their first.

It’s a new year with new hope for the future. Of course, sometimes for the future to take root, the past must be cleared out of the way. I’ve been making a concerted effort to get rid of old paperwork that I’ve held on to for too long. A lot of it I’m scanning, but at least a few kilobytes of data takes up less space than this shredded paper!
