Well, you can’t really predict that sort of thing. (based on actual events)

81st Academy Awards
The sink has been fixed, the toilet seat has been replaced and the dinner from last night has been eaten for a second time. Now, we’re wathcing the Oscars as I work on a weasel. Here are some random thoughts as we watch:
- Hugh Jackman did an amazing job with the opening. He sings, he dances and he plays Wolverine…the nerd in me is in conflict, I need alcohol!
- The Chinese dude wins for best thank you speech (for short animated film). Domo arigato, Mr. Roboto.
- We’re making the list of movies we need to see that are up for nominations.
- The musical number rocked it like it was 1929! Beyonce and Hugh Jackman were amazing.
- Heath won, he deserved the award and he is missed. This reminds us to do your best and to create a legacy you would be proud of.
- Most creative speech goes to the Man on Wire guys. I’ve never seen an Oscar balanced on someone’s chin.
- Hello Academy, show your bias against super hero movies, BASTARDS! Iron Man or Batman should have won for effects!
- We’re disappointed that Mickey Rourke didn’t win the Oscar. He has had a long road back from Hell, I’m glad he came back from the edge.
- I would have rather seen Frost/Nixon win, even if it was along shot.
