I don’t know about anybody else, but when a random song gets stuck in my head, I refer to that as my Demented DJ. Safety Dance was just cued up.

We are attending Creation Entertainment’s 50 Year Mission Tour this weekend. Its a small convention, but a good one. Sitting here early Saturday morning, I gotta say this is the most fun going to a convention that we’ve had in a while. It reminds me of hanging out with actors at the Hyatt bar at DragonCon over a decade ago. Angela describes the evening pretty well:

Ok, so Creation Con is SO MUCH FUN. Today was very small; I’d say maybe 100 ppl. The Rat Pack performance was great fun! But the REAL fun was hanging out in the bar with Dominic Keating and Connor Trinneer. OH MY! We also got to speak to Casey Biggs and Jeff Combs. Really awesome con so far!
Tomorrow, I’m going to work with a guy that has been in various Trek fan films and try to arrange a big ole dinner thing at Meehans. Dominic and Connor will go if I have anything to do with it, as well as our new pals E A and Paulette Channon.
Should be a fun day!

Also:
– The drinks at the Mariott Westin Bar are underwhelming, so is the fact that they closed up at 11 o’clock on a Friday night.
– We got crop dusted by an old dude while waiting on drinks in the bar. I’ve always heard of that happening, but that was the first time experiencing it in public.
