A friend posted this to Facebook this morning. I don’t follow the person that has been quoted on Twitter, but I think he’s right.
I know Mother Nature is putting the South in the oven this Summer. We got seasoned with pollen, then stuck right back in the fridge to marinate.
The new job that I started last Halloween has been good. Good place, good people and shorter commute by far (fucking Atlanta traffic 🤢).
There are issues on occasion, but that happens no matter what you do or where you go.

Things since last weekend have been rough. First, the pollen was in full swing, clogging my sinuses and fogging my brain. Next, the time change kicked in Sunday (Spring forward motherfuckers), trashing any sense of time or clarity for the next few weeks. Finally, for the flourish, temperatures plunged again below freezing, reminding me how much my joints now hate the cold.
I keep reminding myself this was all pass, eventually. 🙄
I didn’t give two shits about the Oscars this year.
Now this observation? THIS I care about. Honor the strange, the odd and especially the kind.
Humble decency and kindness are reasons for humanity to survive and hopefully one day (despite ourselves) thrive.

Welcome to The Pollening (TM), where all the meth in the South is converted back to Sudafed.
This has been one hell of a season so far and love the range of Trek stories that are available right now. We have the ‘classic’ style of adventures with Captain Pike in Strange New Worlds and a more ‘rough around the edges’ galaxy with Captain Shaw (our new favorite ‘dipshit from Chicago’).
That’s not even going into the additional dimensions brought with the stories of Discovery, Lower Decks and Prodigy.
It’s a good time to be a Trek fan. While I’ll have my criticisms of individual details, I’ve learned to no be overly critical and just enjoy the damn ride. Continue reading Picard Season 3
