A Midweek Update

The iPad tablet computer was announced today by Apple. Basically, it’s a version of the iPod Touch with a screen the size of a standard piece of paper. The detractors already discount such a device, sayin it’s just another toy frim Apple. But as a person laying in the bed typing this entry out on an iPod Touch, I think they may not yet see the true value of the concept.

Personally, I’m excited to see what might happen with digital comics on such a device. There is already a couple apps for doing comics iTunes Store style on the iPod and they would only look better on a larger screen. I’m not sure what happened with the Longbox application that was mentioned months ago at Heroes, but there I’m sure someone will jump on this opportunity.

Hello 2010

Funny, it seems like 2010 sounds so much more futuristic than 2009. I’m guessing it’s just me.

So far, this year isn’t off to too bad of a start. The foggy weather from yesterday has moved out and there were clear skies for the first of the year. Next, the leak in the kitchen sink was fixed by just tightening up the fixture. Third, I finally made some progress on getting the yard cleaned up. After that, we has some great greens and black eyed peas with some of the Christmas kielbasa.

I hope this year is better than the last.

Goodbye 2009

Twitter and Facebook has trashed my ability to post to my own site recently, bleh.

This year has had some good moments but it’s also been a bit of a tester. The good news is that we made it to the other end of this year in one piece and the promise of the new year is ahead of us. Tomorrow I will post some New Year’s resolutions, but for now I shall drink champagne.

Happy New Year all!

My life has not been straight, in a line or otherwise
